The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has dismissed claims that it sells low-quality petrol that burns too quickly.
In a statement on Saturday, NNPCL spokesperson Olufemi Soneye responded to a viral video where a man claimed that petrol bought from an NNPC station in Lagos lasted a shorter time than petrol from a Dangote refinery.
NNPCL clarified that the fuel sold at its station came from the Dangote refinery, which follows strict industry standards. The company described the video as misleading and based on unverified claims.
NNPCL warned against spreading false information and said it would take legal action against those trying to damage its reputation. It assured Nigerians of its commitment to providing high-quality, affordable fuel.
